How can I get rid of the sims 3 music notes?

Okay i'm obsessed with sims. And I make little videos from time to time. And When I want to make a video with a sims playing a guitar/piano/drums/etc. it has the music notes! they get really annoying! I can't find a free video editor to cover it up (I can't find any so I use Windows Live Movie Maker) and I can't download anything form Mod The Sims or any sites like that (I've tried but it doesn't go straight to the launcher it goes to my documents and idk how to do the rest) so does anybody know a cheat to cover it or anything like that? Or a FREE (no download if possible) vidoe editor? Or how to move MTS stuff to the launcher? Please help
