Opinions-girls and guys?! Older guy?

I was out and about waiting for a friend, and a guy walked by me. He was my type, cute, and we made eye contact. I'm 15, by the way(been told I looked a lotttt older..). So my friends got there and the guy was sitting playing guitar and singing and kept looking at me. We walked away to go eat, and an hour or two later came back. He was still playing when we walked by. A couple seconds later he showed up next to me. We talked a little then I asked how old he was, and he said 20. I looked disappointed and he asked my age then said "there's nothing illegal about being friends". So he hung out with us a little and it was kinda weird, but he was very nice. We exchanged numbers (he saw my phone and I felt bad..) then we texted a little. I knew he liked me, but after talking about the legal aspect decided we could just be friends. He knew none of my personal information (last name etc.) so I wasn't too worried. He said "i just want to get to know you.hold you close enough so nothing can get close enough to hurt you." which kind of creeped me out. He caught on to my unsure-ness and said we didn't have to be friends if I didn't want to. He gave me as long as I needed to think about it, then I told him we couldn't. I feel like I may regret that...I know there was an almost 6 year age difference but he was my image of the perfect guy... I was just wondering other peoples opinions- did he actually like me or was he a creep?
