What should my first legal drink be?

I am 21 today! I have had alcohol before (I studied abroad in Europe, plus, well, I am a college student), but I want something special for tonight. Just one, because I'll save the wasted-ness for when I'm not with the parents. I've had beer (good beer-- Bavarian beer), lots of vodka drinks, lots of jack and coke type drinks, but I just can't do tequila. I was thinking something like an appletini or a bellini (I adore champagne). Any suggestions? I can always just ask the waiter/bartender, but I want to sound like I'm not completely uneducated before I go...
