How do you say "to feel pain is to be alive" in Latin?

I am wanting to create my own design for a tattoo and I want it to say "To feel pain is to be alive" in Latin but I am afraid that all of my research in translating this phrase may still be wrong. I have so far "Dolorem sentire est vivere" but I am not sure of the gramatical correct-ness of it all. I am not speaking in singular form nor is it directed to a person. It is a general statement to all. Are these words the correct conjugation forms for this phrase?
